In March, One of Poundland representatives came to our company to express the hard work we have done.

He said he should have ordered more rings. 80000 rings would be perfect.

Will order more with new ideas for the next event.

Now, you know the event is real. So, let’s move to the next step.

 

Our topic today is: How to Make 40000 rings and Sold 20000 in one Week

If you want to sell 20000, the first thing you have to do is to make 20000 rings. Make your idea a reality.

So, the first important part I will share is:

Step 1: Come up with a good idea for your business event.

Imagination is more important than your knowledge. Use your imagination to come up with a great idea.

For example, our customer has an idea: one pound engagement rings for their buyers. We usually spend thousands of dollars to buy one engagement ring. But, how about a engagement ring at 1 pound? This is a very great promotional idea for big events,such as Valentine’s Day.

They just want to prove that love is priceless, love can be expressed by 1 pound. A lot of consumers think it a genius idea. So they sold out 20000 rings in less than 7 days.

 

Step 2: Find a GOOD supplier- Direct factory would be great.

There are many ways you can find a good manufacturer in China. But, there are 6 factors you should consider. If you want to know more details, you can read this post.

1.Rich experience- At least 5 years

2.Audits passed-Very Important – SEDEX, BSCI

3.Have a design or Samples team

4.Mass production time- 28 days

5.Best Price- Fair price with decent quality

6.Experience with big brands and giant retailers.

Tips: Try not to find the best supplier. You can never find the BEST supplier. But, you can find a great supplier that is suitable for your supply chain.

 

Step3: Verify your supplier.

1 If your order is small, less than 1000 pieces. You can verify them online or another way. Here is a post teach you how to verify a Chinese company and factory.

2 If your order is big, let’s say, your quantity is over than 20000 pieces, you would better visit their company or factory in China. If you can not go to China, you can hire an agent to check the factory for you.

 

Step 4:  Confirm the Samples- The most important STEP

After signing the contract and paying the 30% of the order, you should send your designs or your samples( if you have the samples) to your manufacturer. You should tell them to finish the samples according to the contract.

TIPS: Make sure you give more sampling time to your supplier. The more the better, Sample is so important.

 

Step 5: Sign the contract with your vendor and pay 30% of the order.

Signing the contract with your vendor is vital. A good contract can be beneficial to you and your vendor.  Usually, you pay 30% of the order, if your order is $10000, you need to pay $3000 first, and you pay the rest when all the items ready.

 

 Step 6: Massive production time- Follow up.

If you did a great job in step 5, Step 6 will a lot easier. As I know, mistakes are much less when we do massive production.

TIPS: If you want all things going well, ask your supplier to send you more pictures when they are manufacturing your product. Take the picture and first 100 products for you. Make sure the first group of your items are correct.

 

 Step7: PACKAGING

After massive production, it comes to packaging. The packaging is an important part.

Why?

A lot of mistakes will be easily made when your vendor do the packaging. Therefore, you need to be very careful to tell them how to do the packaging.

Most of the customers send their own packaging designs to our factory. What we have to do is to do as the customers told us to do.

 

 Step 8. Quality Control.

Most of the time, our customers have their QC in Yiwu. They sent their QC to our factory to check the final items. But, if you do not have your own QC, you can hire a QC to do the job for you. The price is about $100. Tell your requirements and they will give you feedback.

 

Step 9. Balance Payment

After the QC, if all is good, you pay the rest of the money according to the Contract.

 

Step 10. Ship all the products.

Ship all the rings as expected

Find your own carrier to ship your products. This is very easy.

Follow the 10 steps, you will make your idea into a reality.
